Located in newly built, custom-designed premises, the ultra-modern cookery school has three state-of-the art teaching kitchens, superbly equipped with the latest Siemens appliances. You can choose from around 45 different hands-on courses, ranging from one to twenty days in length. Most are designed for the enthusiastic home-cook up to advanced level, but there are also courses for those with no cookery skills whatsoever. Fundamental techniques are taught that can be applied when cooking at home, entertaining family and friends or working in a professional kitchen.

Among the more popular courses are the one and two day Express Dinner Parties, which teach the art of quick, effective entertaining; others include fish and seafood, canapés, desserts and modern vegetarian. There are also courses inspired by a country’s cuisine such as Italian, French and Thai while new this year are Healthy Eating and Family Dinners for busy mums.

The Cookery School is located in the small Georgian town of Ashburton in one of the most beautiful parts of the West Country.
