Success For The BBC Children In Need Recipe Book 2006
This is My Favourite, a recipe book in aid of the BBC Children in Need Appeal which features favourite recipes from 60 of the UKs top chefs including Gordon Ramsay, Jean-Christophe Novelli, Rick Stein, Antony Worrall Thompson, Michel Roux, Raymond Blanc, Ross Burden, Kevin Woodford, Lesley Waters and Ainsley Harriott, launched at Baglioni Hotel, Kensington on Wednesday 4th October 2006. With the assistance of head chef Stefano Stecca of the Brunello Restaurant they prepared a feast fit for a king.
It was fun, frolics and cooking tips as the chefs featured in This is My Favourite dined on a selection of canapés. The success of the launch puts everyone involved in high spirits as the recipe book prepares to hit the shelves of supermarkets such as Marks and Spencer, Tesco and Morrisons.
Chris Ransom, the brainchild behind the concept stood alongside Pudsey Bear to thank all the chefs for all their support without whom the book would not have been possible. He also thanked the staff at the Baglioni hotel for hosting such an incredible event and Sir Terry Wogan for writing the foreword. Chris urged everyone to buy the book, prepare the dinner party recipes, help raise money for Children In Need (a charity close to his heart) and ‘Make It’ happen, this years theme for Children in Need.
The second edition of This is My Favourite not only gives you the chance to recreate any of the top chef’s favourite recipes, it also includes 10 BBC Children in Need Dinner Party menus including one special menu called ‘My Favourite Night’. The aim is to entice you to ‘Make It’ and host a special My Favourite Night dinner party during the week leading up to the BBC Children in Need telethon on Friday 17th November.
Simply by registering your dinner party on www.thisismyfavourite.co.uk you will be helping in the attempt to host the ‘largest national dinner party….ever’!
