“Competitors from as far away as the USA, South Africa and Australia entered the awards,” said Mike Davies, Managing Director at North Downs Dairy. “Given the number of cheese entries, and the calibre of our competition, we must extend our thanks and congratulations to all of our valued suppliers for their outstanding achievements.”

“Pilgrims Choice is a major sponsor of the World Cheese Awards as it is a key forum for putting cheddar in the spotlight, for retailers and consumers. Expertly judging and awarding these categories broadens the overall appeal and appreciation of cheddar as a major player in the cheese sector,” Mike Davies explains.

Pilgrims Choice is hand-selected from the very best cheddar and owned by North Downs Dairy. Made on carefully chosen farms and creameries, it is naturally matured and then regularly monitored by the company’s team of expert graders, to ensure it is packed only when perfect to eat.

Products in the Pilgrims Choice range are classified by a helpful numbering system which describes the flavour strength, making it easy for consumers to select the right cheddar choice for their tastes.
