Award winning British chocolatier Paul A Young is opening his first indulgent chocolaterie in London. Paul is one of the UK’s foremost chocolatiers and patissiers, a talented and passionate young Chef who brings a flamboyance and excitement to the burgeoning British chocolate scene.
Walk into Paul’s classic contemporary chocolaterie, based in Camden passage, a beautiful high-class boutique shopping area in the heart of Islington, and you will be immersed in a world of indulgence, with rich chocolate aromas and opulent décor. You will be surrounded by Paul’s amazing and exciting chocolates, made freshly on the premises each day using only the finest ingredients and will be able to see Paul creating his fine chocolates in the shop’s presentation kitchen.
After working as Head Pastry Chef for many years for Marco Pierre White Paul then went on to create his wonderful chocolates for private clients and to consult for Charbonnel et Walker, Pierre Marcolini and Rococo. He is on the board of the Academy of Chocolate and regularly appears on television including as resident chocolatier for UKTV food’s Great Food Live and also for Sky One’s Taste. Paul has been teaching patisserie and chocolaterie for a number of years, including as head chef at Cutting Edge school of food and wine and will continue this at his chocolaterie with chocolate making workshops, tastings and demonstrations.
Paul recently won a Gold and 2 Silver awards at the World Chocolate Awards. Judged by a distinguished panel of chocolate experts, chefs and journalists the judges were especially impressed with Paul’s Sea salted Caramel, which won Gold in the Best Filled Chocolate category.
Paul uses the finest ingredients and his extensive knowledge of food and flavours to create his superb chocolates with collections that contain fresh fruits, spices & herbs. On sale will be his award winning chocolates plus many other exciting and indulgent creations using only the finest quality ingredients. Paul will also have a range of chocolate patisserie including indulgent chocolate ganache cake, brownies, tarte au chocolat, French macaroons and Chocolate & Lavender Mille Feuille made daily on the premises.
