AA Landlady Of The Year Cooks Up A FeastThe AA Landlady of the Year Award 2005, Elizabeth Gradidge of Ruthven House, Coldstream, is teaming up with top cordon bleu chef, Lucy Withall, to offer bespoke residential cooking breaks.

Lucy Withall is a cordon bleu chef with many years experience in cooking in large country houses and restaurants, both in the UK and Europe.  She runs her own company, Original Ski, and does all the cooking as well as running the chalet and teaching skiing during the winter months.
 
The final decision was made by an undercover judge who visited Ruthven House and recognised all the hard work, first class level of service and professionalism that Elizabeth Gradidge offers her guests and this national prestigious award is in acknowledgment of this.

Ruthven House is among one of Scotland’s finest Victorian family homes and has been awarded five diamonds by the AA.  The house offers all the comfort of a family home in relaxed surroundings and visitors can enjoy spectacular views out to the Cheviot Hills.  Nothing is too much trouble here, whether you want to catch a salmon, play a round of golf or visit local castles, Elizabeth and her husband Francis are on hand to assist in your every need.
