Irish Coffee

Irish CoffeePerfect after-dinner drink with freshly made coffee, a good splash of Kilbeggan Irish Whiskey, topped with double cream

Makes 2

Ingredients

  • Freshly made coffee to fill 2 glasses
  • 2 tbsp Kilbeggan Irish Whiskey (or to taste)
  • 2 tbsp double cream (or to taste)
    dessert biscuits to serve

Method

Make coffee to preference - you could even use a good quality instant coffee if you like.  Pour into Irish Coffee Glasses and add whiskey to taste.  Carefully top with cream so it floats on top.  The classic way to do this is to pour the cream over an inverted dessert spoon held over the top of the coffee.

Serve with dessert biscuits.
