Dirty Martini brings skinny cocktails to Hanover Square
By Emily Conradi
With its Covent Garden sister bar going strong, Dirty Martini brings style, sass and plenty of spirit (shaken and stirred) to its new location in Hanover Square.
As cocktail destinations go, Dirty Martini has pretty much every base covered – tasteful décor, decent, if slightly unimaginative bar food, and of course great cocktails. What sets it apart from every other £8-a-cocktail haunt, however, are the innovative flavour combinations, attentive staff and not least, the genius concept of the skinny cocktail.
Gone are the days of calorie counting and sipping on boring vodka-slimlines. Dirty Martini offers a range of 5 fruity cocktails irresistible to even the most health-minded. Standouts included the skinny watermelon martini (124 calories) and the refreshingly moreish skinny lemongrass, lychee and honey collins – at 105 calories, keep ‘em coming!
But this isn’t just some new fangled hangout for the rich and vain. With over 60 cocktails to choose from, including 11 different types of Martini – from berry to chocolate to pineapple and cardamom - even the fussiest of drinkers will find something to please.
Whether it’s a contemporary classic you’re after or something more experimental, the menu won’t disappoint. Dirty Martini offers trendy cocktails in an even trendier location – the problem being, finding time to taste them all. Next up and calling my name, a skinny blackberry and tarragon martini. 110 calories? Don’t mind if I do.
