Here are a couple of Woodford Reserve Cocktails for you to try.

The Manhattan

• 50ml Woodford Reserve
  
• 15ml Sweet Vermouth
  
• 2 Dashes Angostura Bitters

Method

Fill a mixing glass with cubed ice and add all the ingredients. Stir briskly for 10-15 seconds and strain into a chilled Martini glass. Garnish with a maraschino cherry.

This drink can be made more palatable to the novice bourbon drinker by the addition of a teaspoon of syrup from the maraschino cherry jar.

As well as serving the drink ‘straight up’ (without ice) in a martini glass, it is permitted to serve the drink in a tumbler filled with cubed ice.

Old Woodfordian

• 50ml Woodford Reserve
  
• Dry ginger ale
  
• Squeeze of fresh lime

Method

Fill a highball glass with ice, add the Woodford Reserve and top with dry ginger ale and a squeeze of fresh lime.
