Duncan Taylor Releases 1st Bottlings!
To celebrate independent bottler Duncan Taylor’s Overall Winner award at this month’s prestigious Whisky Magazine’s challenge, the company has released for sale all of their first and last bottles from each bottling over the last five years.
The online auction, taking place on www.dtcscotch.com/number1.htm will end on 31st October and whoever has placed the highest bid, secures a bottle of one of Scotland’s most precious whiskies.
Each individually numbered whisky will be presented in a wooden presentation casket with a scroll of authenticity.
Furthermore 10% of all proceeds raised will go to a children’s charity.
Euan Shand, Duncan Taylor’s director commented. “We were so overwhelmed with our success at Whisky Magazine’s awards that we wanted to do something to mark it. It would be nice to hold on to these bottles, however we know that enthusiasts will welcome the opportunity to purchase these rare whiskies and the first and last bottlings are always the most sought after. It is a nice touch to be able to share the proceeds, although we have yet to decide on which children’s charity will benefit.”
The first Number 1 bottles available are: Highland Park 1967, Bowmore 1966, Glengarioch 1988, Glencraig 1974, Invergordon 1965 and Macallan 1968.
